IUSARF is proud to announce the receipt of a donation by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation! IUSARF is honored to have been chosen to receive the grant that will help purchase life-saving rescue equipment.

Boise, ID – January 26, 2015 – The Idaho Urban Search and Rescue Foundation (IUSARF) is pleased to be the recipient of a grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The grant valued at $8,635.00 will allow IUSARF to purchase the AMKUS Rope Rescue System and Honda Generator, a system that will give Idaho Task Force 2 greater versatility when responding to technical rescue incidents involving the use of ropes to access and safely remove patients.

“We’re honored to receive this very generous grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The equipment the grant will purchase will be used to improve training and may actually make a lifesaving difference in a rescue,” said Don Fry, President and founding member of IUSARF.
